Bridget "Biddy" Mason Black Midwifery Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund ~ Support A New Midwife

Starting out as a new midwife is expensive. In addition to tuition, general education, and clinical training costs, the start-up costs associated with midwifery equipment and supplies, travel, childcare, and day-to-day business expenses add up quickly.

CAM welcomes midwifery supporters who wish to the offset start-up costs for our next generation of California midwives by pledging donations to specific expenses:

• $16: Equip a new midwife with a basic Alen Type acoustic fetoscope for listening to heart tones
• $25: Fund a coffee gift card to last one long or two short labors
• $35: Fuel and maintain a new midwife's vehicle for 50 miles
• $75: Fund three hours of childcare for a new midwife
• $120: Equip a new midwife with a classic Pinard Horn acoustic fetoscope for listening to heart tones
• $550: Equip a new midwife with a stocked Birth Bag with basic supplies
• $1000: Equip a new midwife with a Doppler ultrasound device for detecting fetal heart tones
